Profile Bulder is a very good WordPress plugin by Cozmoslabs to go beyond standard registration and plugin by customizing the website by adding front-end registration, profile and login forms.
The plugin is avaiable fro free in the WordPress repository with basic features, if you need more features you can choose between the Hobbist version (49$) or the fully featured Pro version (99$).
Let see the plugin in action. Firstly once installed you just need to create pages and you can use these shortcodes:
[wppb-edit-profile] – to grant users front-end access to their personal information (requires user to be logged in)
[wppb-login] – to add a front-end log-in form
[wppb-register] – to add a front-end registration form
[wppb-recover-password] – to add a password recovery form
You can customize the visibility of fields and if they are required or not in the Default Profile Fields.
A useful feature is that you can set to show or hide admin bar in the frontend (in the Pro version you can set for specific user group).
The Pro version also includes these features:
– create extra user fields (heading, input, checkbox, etc…)
– add avatar upload for users
– Front-End User Listing using [wppb-list-users] shortcode
– custom redirect personalizzati based on user actions
– Recaptcha
– select optional css styles, email confirmation, admin approval (see pic)
