Linux Lite<\/a> is a Linux distro based on Ubuntu LTS and it’s slogan is \u201cSimple Fast Free\u201d<\/i>.
\nIt’s a free operating system with the aim the transition from Windows to Linux as smooth as possible.

\nThe distribution provides familiar software such as Skype, Steam, Kodi and Spotify, a free Office suite, a familiar desktop environment with a user friendly interface.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> Linux Lite isn’t the only lightweight Linux distro, you can also try Bodhi Linux<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Linux Lite is fully functional out of the box, you won’t have to install extra software when you boot your computer for the first time.
\nThere is also a comprehensive online help that covers all topics: installation, network, software, hardware, tutorials, customization.<\/p>\n

Recommended System Requirements: 1.5GHz processor, 1gb RAM, 20gb storage, VGA, DVI or HDMI screen 1366×768, DVD drive or USB port for the ISO image.<\/p>\n

We have tested Linux Lite 4.4 64 bit on VirtualBox 6 using the image from OSBoxes.org web site.<\/p>\n

The desktop is clean and simple. With easy access to the Menu, system settings and configuration.<\/p>\n

After booting a starting page will be displayed with some useful shortcuts that allows you to Install Updates, Install Drivers, Set a Restore Point, Install Language Support, Upgrade to 4.4 version (if you have a previous version installed), Install Lite Software.<\/p>\n

The menu is well done. From here you can access to file system, Settings, Applications installed (Accessories, Graphics, Internet, Multimedia, Office), and the various System tools.<\/p>\n
