{"id":14433,"date":"2012-04-13T00:56:54","date_gmt":"2012-04-12T22:56:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.digitalking.it\/2012\/04\/13\/share-files-over-net-without-using-cloud\/"},"modified":"2018-11-21T15:01:34","modified_gmt":"2018-11-21T14:01:34","slug":"share-files-over-net-without-using-cloud","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.digitalking.it\/en\/2012\/04\/13\/share-files-over-net-without-using-cloud\/","title":{"rendered":"Share files over net without using cloud"},"content":{"rendered":"<span class=\"span-reading-time rt-reading-time\" style=\"display: block;\"><span class=\"rt-label rt-prefix\">Reading time:<\/span> <span class=\"rt-time\"> &lt; 1<\/span> <span class=\"rt-label rt-postfix\">minute<\/span><\/span><p>Cloud storage services are everyday more used, they allows to easily and safely share own files over net, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dropbox.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dropbox<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/aws.amazon.com\/s3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Amazon S3<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.box.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Box.com<\/a> are some of them.<\/p>\n<p>They have pros: can share files both privately and public with users, can sync them, they are available every moment; but also cons: you need time and use Internet for upload, the services have limitations (eg. max file sizes, max storage space).<\/p>\n<p>If you simply need to access the files stored on your computer from Internet you can do it without using cloud within some free solutions.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.teamviewer.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TeamViewer<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\nis a famous remote control software, it has also file transfer feature<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tonido.com\/software_what.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tonido<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\nit allows to create your personal cloud. It&#8217;s multiplatform (Windows\/Linux\/Mac) and the interface is clean and nice.
