FXmypics is a new web service for photography lovers. It allows anyone, once registered and logged in, to send own photos for free and choose which effects to apply choosing from hundreds available.
Users can see them live in action in the FX Library page.
There are over 140 effects categorized in 9 groups: photo enhancements, black and white, HDR, lomo, color, retro and vintage, grunge, artistic, frames; plus other 2 premium groups (Special FX that contains 40 “extra” effects and Mask FX that contains 6 mask effects) accessible only with a Paypal donation, you can read the FAQ for more info on how you can activate them.
All the effects looks in a professional way, the only downside is that they aren’t applied in realtime. Users must first upload their photos and FXmypics team will process them; when done the users will receive an e-mail at the e-mail address they used for signup with the photos in attachment.
According to the FAQ page other limitations are: JPEG only format allowed, 5mb max file size, max 2 photos per day.
The service has also a bit of social features. In the upload form if users check the “Pin it” checkbox the photos will be featured in the FXmypics Pinterest page.
FXmypics is optimized for the best mobile experience too. Users can browse FXmypics website from their smartphone/tablet device and upload the photos choosing from their gallery (this works only for iOS 6.x / Android 3.x or later versions devices).
